Press release, Johannesburg, 26 January - Kwesé Sports, Econet Media’s premium sports content platform, is currently running Kwesé AFCON5, a football fantasy game for the Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
Players create their own fantasy teams of five players for each round, selected from the best footballers from all teams playing at the tournament, with points and a share of cash prizes totalling 5 000 USD awarded to subscribers based on their players’ real world performances throughout the tournament. Points are awarded for goals, assists, appearances, winning matches and for keeping a clean sheet, and are subtracted if players receive yellow or red cards.
